Vespa has decided to take the Premium Scooter segment to a different level with its latest offering known as the Esclusivo. The Esclusivo is a redefined version of the Vespa VX. The front of the scooter flaunts new chequered decals, the seat has new contrast stitching, the front luggage compartment has an exclusive badge that will have Esclusivo and an exclusive number embossed on it, and finally the change is in alloys that have been powder-coated Black and Silver.
Vespa will roll out just 1,000 units of the Esclusivo which makes it truly unique and stand out from the crowd. The Esclusivo will cost Rs3,100 more than the Vespa VX and should serve the purpose well for which it has been launched.
Technically, there is no difference between the Esclusivo and the VX, but one significant development is addition of a disc brake at the front which was much needed. Vespa's parent company- Piaggio - doesn't plan to make Vespa a mass brand in terms of figures and sales which is why Vespa scooters are priced way more than other scooters in its segment. The Esclusivo for example is priced at Rs 73,387 (Ex-showroom, Pune). The limited edition scooter will be available only in three colour options - Monte Bianco (White), Rosso Dragon (Red) and Nero Matt (Black).
