The exotic Italian two-wheeler making brand, Piaggio has today launched the new Vespa RED scooter in the Indian market priced at Rs 87,000 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The new special edition scooter by Vespa has been introduced in association with RED, an organization which helps to fight and creating awareness about HIV.
The concept of this brand, RED, revolves around launching the special edition products of different brands and some part of the profit made on the products is contributed to the Global Funds which helps in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Vespa India has announced that the company will contribute 50$ to the Global Fund on every Vespa RED sold.
With the launch of the Vespa RED, this automaker becomes the first auto company to associate with the RED organization.
Talking about the scooter, the Vespa RED is nothing but the Vespa 125XL that has been given a special red treatment to make it look different from the other Vespa scooters. Apart from the bodywork, the scooter gets scarlet finished alloy wheels and seat.
