YouTube is the place where one can find and learn almost anything and it's not merely about movie trailer, sports videos or songs. In fact, from needle to atomic bomb, it has everything under its belt. Such Do-It-Yourself (DIY) videos are available on Youtube in abundance. While many blokes may find it really funny, but Prem Thakur, a 19 year old Mumbaikar, astounded everyone when he went on to built his very own 'Buggy' car from scratch via such a DIY video on Youtube. Perplexing, No?

So, coming to the Prem Thakur, the chap had no background in mechanical or automobile engineering. Moreover, he had limited financial resources to develop the car from scratch. But, he went ahead and developed the 'buggy' car from a second-hand Hyundai Accent. "In four months time, I welded the car from the chassis up and painted it all by myself," he told VideoVolunteers. It cost around Rs. 2.5 Lakhs to Thakur and his family in building the car. Just so you know, Prem's father is a rickshaw puller. "Had it not been for my family and the Internet connection, I couldn't possibly have built this car," he told VideoVolunteers. Now, this magical Mumbaikar dreams of driving the car on a race track someday. If this is not enough, he even dreams of becoming an automobile engineer one day. We wonder, isn't he one already?

Prem is learnt to be fascinated by cars from an eary age. He was just 12 years old when his father bought him a computer. Prem told that he saw several 'Buggy' cars on the Internet and thoroughly studied a few before starting work on his own car. The majority of the parts, including the chassis, were built by Prem himself, while he assembled the machine using a welding machine. The whole paintwork was also done by him only at his home. During all these four months of rigorous and relentless work, Prem was supported by his father, mother and grandmother. Prem whole-heartedly credits Internet and Youtube for this achievement. Prem's open-top 'Buggy' car is a masterpiece in itself and is attracting numerous eyeballs, whenever he takes it for a spin across the town. All we can say is, more power and wisdom his way so he can achieve his dreams.
