Audi India has launched the 2015 A6 facelift at a sticker price of Rs. 49.50 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) in the country. In quite a one-of-its-kind phenomenon, the German luxury automaker launched the updated A6 over a video on famous instant messaging app, WhatsApp. The A6 is introduced in a single yet fully loaded variant in diesel guise, named as Audi A6 Matrix 35TDI. Just so you know, it is the third company model to feature LED Matrix headlamps after the A8L and RS6 Avant.
Talking about the cosmetic changes on the 2015 Audi A6 facelift, it flaunts a redesigned front bumper and bolder front grille, besides the much-talked about inclusion of Matrix LED headlamps. In addition, the updated saloon also gets Audi's dynamic turn indicators, just like the RS7. The side skirts, on the flanks, are also revamped. At the rear end, there is a new tail-lamp cluster with restyled bumper and exhaust pipes. A chrome strip flows along the lower edge of bootlid. Inside the cabin, there is the updated MMI system with voice activation, handwriting recognition and remote control features for the rear seat occupants. Moreover, the rear seat passenger now has the liberty of moving the front seat forward by the push of just a button. Also, the 4-zone climate control and Bose surround system comes as standard feature on the new Audi A6.
Mechanically, the Audi A6 facelift is launched in diesel guise only with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder, TDI motor. It is coupled with a 7-speed S-tronic automatic transmission, while Audi Drive Select with Adaptive Air Suspension comes as standard. The A6 facelift, like its predecessor, would be sold as CBU in India. As for safety of the occupants, it features 8-airbags as standard safety feature. Audi A6 would take on the likes of Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMw 5-Series and Jaguar XF.
