Looks like Audi is leaving no stone unturned to let the world know, how dynamic and advanced it their upcoming 2015 Audi Q7 SUV. After previewing the 3D sound systems for the all-new Q7, the company now recently showcased the latest tablets for the flagship SUV, which will run on the Android OS and will be part of the overall package of the entertainment system.
Offered as a component for the new rear seat entertainment system, the two 10.1-inch tablets will run on the latest Android operating system and will be powered by an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor. The storage capacity will be 32GB of and they will be equipped with a full HD camera while Bluetooth and NFC connectivity is supported. The tablets serve as rear seat monitors and are connected to the Q7's MMI navigation plus system through Wi-Fi.
This will enable the rear passenger to have an access to the car's navigation system which means they are able to enter a new destination to the MMI navigation. More features of the tablet will let the passenger utilize the web via a Wi-Fi connection and have access to all the apps from Google's Play Store. Audi mentions the 10.1-inch tablet "offers the necessary crash safety lacking in conventional end-device solutions."
Moreover, the tablets are fully removable and can be used as a regular tablet once the person reaches destination.
