Mercedes-Benz revealed the next-generation GLE SUV a couple of days and now they have released at least 4 videos to show and explain the vehicle in detail. Mercedes-Benz has big plans for the 2015 and they will be launching 15 vehicles in India this year, among which one is the GLE SUV. We covered the story for the revealing of the Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV in detail and you can read all about it here!
Joining the main video will be 3 detailed videos explaining each of the variants, namely - GLE 250d, GLA 500e and GLE 63 S. The first video reveals the GLE 250d in detail which comes powered by a 4 cylinder 2.1 litre turbo-diesel engine capable of producing 204hp and 480Nm of torque. According to Mercedes-Benz, the GLE provides "superior performance" while maintaining an "all-time low fuel consumption".
The second video reveals the plug-in hybrid GLE 500e 4MATIC that comes powered by a conventional V6 3.0 litre BlueDIRECT V6 engine and a motor integrated with a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The 7G-Tronic Plus gearbox helps the GLE 500e to produce a combined output of 442hp and 650Nm of torque. The hybrid SUV can run for 30 kms on pure electric mode and drinks petrol at a rate of 3.3 litre/100km.
The last video is made for the range-topping Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S that comes powered by a much chunkier V8 5.5 litre twin-turbo that is capable of producing 585hp and 760Nm of torque. That's enough power to push such a heavy car from 0-100 kmph in 4.2 seconds and an electronically-limited maximum speed of 250 km/h. But that's not all and you can order an optional AMG Driver's package that will raise the speed to 280 km/h.
