We have been constantly reporting you on the 2016 Toyota Innova MPV, which would have its global debut on November 23, 2015 in Indonesia. But, prior to that, the Japanese automaker has revealed the new MPV in several images and a video. The video showcases the exterior styling and several interior features of the new Innova. It is being learnt that new Innova is expected to launch in India by the end of 2016.
Talking about the exterior styling, the 2016 Toyota Innova would flaunt sweptback projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The dual-slat front grille comprises of the company emblem. The side profile remains mostly unchanged; however, the MPV gets restyled wing mirrors with integrated blinkers and puddle lamps. At the rear end, the ongoing tail lamps have gone for a toss in favour of a new tail-lamp cluster. The interior cabin has blue LED lighting, while the instrument cluster is a new unit with digital MID. Also, the dashboard is redesigned and it now comes with wooden inserts. New Toyota Innova boasts of several premium features such as push button start/stop, automatic climate control, voice commands, steering wheel mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, and a new touchscreen infotainment system.
As for safety, the new Innova comes with an array of safety features in form of emergency brake signal system, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and front, side, curtain and knee airbags. Just so you know, the company has introduced roof mounted AC vents and foldable trays for the convenience of rear seat passengers. Mechanically, the Innova would be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with a dual VVT-i 2.0L, 4-cylinder engine and a GD 2.4L, 4-cylinder engine, respectively. However, it is known that the Indian model would be presented in diesel guise only.
