- Maruti Suzuki Futuro-E interior spied in India.
- The Wagon R EV will be known as Futuro-E.
- Maruti Futuro-E (Wagon R EV) is expected to be unveiled at Auto Expo 2020.
As reported earlier that the electric version of the Wagon R will be known as the Futuro-E and will derive the exterior from it. The EV will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2020.
The Maruti Suzuki Futuro-E interior is inspired by the Wagon R and they share the same steering wheel, dashboard layout and comes with the latest generation of SmartPlay music system from the manufacturer. The touchscreen infotainment system will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
From the spy shots, we can see that below the infotainment system the automatic climate control system is placed which the petrol Wagon R does not offer. Below the climate control, there is a cubby space for your knick-knacks. The touchscreen infotainment system is flanked by vertically placed AC vents. The central console comprises the gear knob with letters "B" and "D" written on it. We are not sure what the letters mean, but we can assume that the "D" stands for "Drive". Behind the gear lever, there is a manual parking brake.
Maruti Suzuki Futuro-E exterior will come with alloy wheels from the Ignis and tall boy design. Moreover, the rear will comprise of vertically placed tail lamps and the front will come with the split headlamp design. The range is expected to be around 180 km with fast charging capabilities.
