Husqvarna’s 701 Supermoto was teased in a video like this before but this time it is a 2 minute long video showcasing the 701 on asphalt track for the first time. It is based on the KTM’s 690 SMR R, but was brought to life by Husqvarna. Both 701 Supermoto and KTM 690 SMC R are identical mechanically utilizing the same 690cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which punches out a healthy 67hp and a respectable 50lbft.
Like the SMC R, 701 Supermoto also comes with ABS, a slipper-clutch, ride-by-wire throttle and switchable engine modes. But Husqy gets a larger 14 litres fuel-tank as compared to the SMC R. 701 Supermoto claims a dry weight of 145kgs which is 5kgs on the heavier side than the KTM.
The video showcases the ultimate skill test of 701 Supermoto on asphalt. We were stunned to see the video and extreme moto skills of the rider doing the mad level leans on the bike. Share with us your views on the same in the comment section below!
