Video - Ducati Teases 'X' and 'Low Speed Excitement' – Does it mean a Scooter?

Snapshot: What is a Ducati with 'Low Speed Excitement'- A scooter?, EICMA 2015 will have an answer....

Ducati seems to be on to sometime pretty interesting! With a promised nine new model onslaught in 2016, Ducati is poised to make the 2016 model year something to talk about for years to come. With seven of the nine models being upgrades and refreshes of the existing line up, such as the Hypermotard/strada triplets gaining more cc and power much like the (now spied) Panigale 959 and then the new Diavel for 2016 making the number to be five, we are waiting to see what the rest of the lineup will see for 2016.

Also, it is now well known that Ducati has promised to enter two market segments where they have not been present before, thus making the model year 2016 a year of firsts for Ducati. With a recent tease telling us ‘This is Black’ signaling towards something dark and intense coming. It is what we believe will be the belt drive cruiser that has been spied many times now.

However, now Ducati has come out with a new teaser campaign that is telling us ‘This is X’ and the moment you fininsh watching it, you would be surprised to listen to the words ‘Low Speed Excitement’ given a rather big importance at the end of the video. Now, these three words combined seems to be outside of the known set traditional Ducatisti language and it has got us thinking about an existence of a Ducati Scooter.

Rumors of a scooter from Ducati are not new and they have been there since some time now, and then there is a minor fact about some top Ducati official showing an interest in the scooter segment earlier this year. Scheduled to arrive on November 16th, 2015 the same day Ducati press conference before EICMA is schedule to go live stream throughout the globe; And yes, that question Ducati asked about the color Black is also going to be answered that same day. This makes us wait for the EICMA 2015 even more.
