While Ford Mustang is the best sold muscle car across the globe, it has only been launched in the left-hind drive configuration for 50 years now. But Ford has decided to expand and for the very first in the history of the company they have planned to launch the Euro-spec Mustang, that will also make its way to other right-hand drive countries.
And now Ford has released a video revealing the performance specifications for the Euro-spec Mustang. The new Mustang is said to be the "fastest accelerating high-volume Ford model ever offered in Europe," and that's evident by the fact that Ford Europe has already received 2200 bookings for the model whose delivery will start in July.
The Euro-spec Mustang will come equipped with two engine options - a more powerful 5.0-litre unit and a more efficient 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine. The powerful V8 5.0-litre engine is capable of generating a power of 421ps and 530 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 2.3-litre EcoBoost unit produces 317ps power and a maximum torque of 432 Nm.
The V8 unit is connected to a six-speed manual transmission that pushes the car from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds while the EcoBoost unit accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 5.8 seconds. All the euro-spec Mustangs will come equipped four Drive Modes - Normal, Sport+, Track and Snow/Wet settings - along with an optional Launch Control system.
