It's really hard to hold your emotions when you are in a modern day Ferrari and not to push that throttle when you see an empty stretch. But as they say - 'With great power comes great responsibility' and with such excess power under your foot, you need to rationalize things and drive accordingly.
But this is not what happened in a recent incident where a speeding driver almost suffered a horrific crash. The incident took place when a man was testing the Ferrari F430 on an open stretch. He was over speeding the sports car on the straight stretch when a Mercedes-Benz came out of nowhere.
It was luck or reflexes that he managed to brake just about the time and steered hard left to avoid the collision with the Mercedes. But this is not where the drama ends. Soon after avoiding the Merc, another Mercedes, but this time a C-Class came in front and the driver immediately took a hard right to avoid another collision.
In a sort of Slalom test, the Ferrari and both its occupants got saved from what could turn out to be a very intense crash considering the speed of the 430bhp car. While we appreciate the quick response from the driver, it's also the Prancing Horses' advanced electronics that averted the crash.
