Ferrari FXX K is touted as the most ambitious and powerful project from the house of Ferrari, and it justifies the hype. Producing over 1050 hp and priced at around $ 3 million dollars, it is indeed one of the biggest projects from Ferrari. While Ferrari, revealed the photographs recently, a video from the same event has surfaced online, showcasing FXX K in action.
Ferrari unveiled the beautiful and powerful FXX K at the 2014 Finali Mondiali event, held at the Yas Marina track last week and the video was filmed at the same event. While the project initially started as just a track version of the LaFerrari, FXX K has taken shape of something much more and the crowd was able to witness and hear the brutal sound of the monster of a car.
The power is provided by a naturally aspirated V12 engine which is capable of producing 860 hp, along with an electric motor that adds another 190 hp. The combined power from both the sources exceeds 1050 hp, enabling the FXX K to run five seconds faster than the LaFerrari around the company's Fiorano circuit.
But, only power is not responsible for such a tremendous performance. Design and mechanical changes are equally responsible for the car to complete the lap in 1.14 minutes at the Fiorano circuit. FXX K gets a more aerodynamic body allowing it to generate 540 kg of downforce at speed of 200 kmph, in addition to a weight loss of 90 kg.
Ferrari will be building only 40 of these units, and all of them are pre-sold already.
