Technology is evolving in a rapid pace day-by-day and the gap between virtual and real world is getting narrower. And so is the augmented reality or artificial intelligence as we say is becoming cooler and interesting. And why it shouldn't be? After all augmented reality makes information gathering way more interesting. While many automakers are fiddling around with the tech, Ferrari has taken the first step towards the future.
Unlike the Mini's Oculus Rift inspired augmented reality goggles or the Land Rover's informative windshield, the Ferrari augmented showroom is almost a reality now and not just a concept. What the Prancing Horse has done is, develop a 3D tracking technology based app that shrouds additional information on any of the company's products.
The seven-step walkaround program helps you choose information or design elements based on your preferences. So much so that you can see a different wheel design, or how the air flows (aerodynamics) over the car's body? The app is some impressive piece of technology, and it takes the buying experience to a next level beyond the physical world.
We have embedded the video for you above. You can check out the iPad app in detail and think how technology is making everything interesting for us!
