Hyundai Creta, the compact SUV made India debut earlier this year referred as Hyundai ix25 when launched in China. The video here shows the crash testing of the India-made Hyundai Creta at the FIA foundation’s Latin Ncap and the results came out to be quite impressive. This model received over 70,000 bookings, not only being the best selling SUV in the country, but has also become the most successful new car launched in this year with over 36,000 units delivered in first five months.
Apart from selling the model in India, the brand also exports the same India-made version to many other countries including the Latin America. Hyundai Creta for the adult occupancy scored 15.57 points out of 17 and in the child occupancy it scored a little low to 29.87 out of 49. Going through all the analysis, Hyundai Creta scored 4-star out of 5 for adult occupancy, and for child occupancy it scored 3-star out of 5.
Talking about the crash test result, an entry level variant of Creta was tested for the safety program with only front dual airbags and ABS. This proves that structurally the Creta is a strong car. Though, the model launched a few months ago, and the brand has already announced two price hikes for the new Creta. In India, the model price ranges from INR 8.6 lakh to INR 13.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The model is offered in two diesel and one petrol engine option, which are further splits into various trim options as per features on offer. The top-ranging model Creta is offered with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, and ESP as safety features.
