Seems like the next generation Audi Q7 is the most important launch for the company in the coming days and Audi is not leaving any stone unturned to make it a big success. The German luxury car manufacturer is teasing the automotive fraternity with new features every now-and-then and taking the list further, the company has revealed another set of technology, now in the form of the new generation MMI and the new digital instrument cluster.
Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show in a couple of weeks, the new cluster was first seen on the new Audi TT. The new instrument cluster is nothing but a 12.3 inch TFT screen, which will bring all the necessary information in the front of the driver, reducing the effort to glance at the central screen for GPS navigation or even infotainment settings.
The new Multi Media Interface is all touch screen all and can be used by entering an alphabet or number with touch, will will narrow down the search. One can search GPS coordinates, contacts, music and much more through the MMI. Not only does the new instrument cluster looks good, but is also helpful from the safety point of view.
The 3.0-liter V6 SUV is now 325 kg lighter and will come with a plug-in hybrid option too. Previously Audi showcased the all-new Android tablet as the part of the rear seat entertainment package. In India, the new generation Q7 is expected to come in late 2015, though they have already started testing the SUV locally.
