James Douglas Muir "Jay" Leno is an American comedian, actor, writer, producer, voice actor and television host. He was the host of NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from 1992 to 2009. Leno returned to host The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 1, 2010. Leno hosted his last episode of The Tonight Show on February 6, 2014. That same year, he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame.
However, more than his feats at the glamour industry, what we admire about Mr. Jay leno is his outrageously awesome collection of some of the finest automobiles. He owns approximately 286 vehicles (169 automobiles and 117 motorcycles). He also has a website called "Jay Leno's Garage," which contains video clips and photos of his automobiles in detail, as well as other vehicles of interest to him.
Only Yesterday, we reported that the Lightning Motorcycles delivered the first production LS -218 bike to Mr. Troy Helming, chief executive officer of renewable energy company Pristine Sun. That bike is essentially a road-legal version of the same one that went 218 mph at Bonneville (hence the name) and claimed an overall motorcycle victory at Pikes Peak. Before doing so, the Lightning crew made a short stop at Jay Leno’s garage, where the former Late Night host got a rundown of the bike from Lightning President, Richard Hatfield.
More importantly, however, Jay was lucky enough to be one of, if not the, first person outside Lightning to ride the street-legal LS-218. Check out what he has to say about it in the video below.
