Ask any Motorsports enthusiast, who is one driver who can get best out of a Formula 1 car and a rally car? The unanimous voice will tell you, it's none other the Finish driver, Kimi Raikkonen. Though he hasn't had the best of the season driving his Ferrari, sitting at 11th position, scoring only 53 points as against 157 points by his teammate Fernando.
But that doesn't mean that the 2007 Formula 1 world champion has lost his touch behind the wheel. Need a proof? We present a video of Kimi Raikkonen, who, earlier this week, bashed around a Ferrari F12, at the Ferrari's test track in Fiorano. And what's so good about it? While most of the current generation of F1 drivers are technology loving, button pushing, straight line drivers, Kimi shed his rally side, by notoriously throwing away the car on sideways as well as the straights.
And the best part was, some mortals like us, had a privilege to sit with him and feel his awesome driving. And their expressions said it all! We shouldn't be surprised at all. After all, Kimi is a Finnish! And what do Finnish do best? They rally! And so did he, when he competed in the WRC (World Rally Championship) between 2009 and 2011.
This person don't even own an F12, instead he drives a more practical Ferrari FF at his home town. But when in Italy, he loves getting chauffeured around- "But most of the time in Italy," as he says "Someone drives me. Easiest that way." Now that is one humble man! All he does in this video, is putting down the traction control to off, presses the right foot, and drifts the 740bhp, rear-drive V12 in an insane manner.
Kimi is a lovable man, and we all love him. But we have started loving him even more after this video! While the confirmations have not flowed in for the 2015 F1 season, Ferrari boss is certain that he will choose the Finnish again, with Sebastian Vettel, his teammate (at least in Vettel's words).
