What makes a brand truly iconic and classic? It's not just the products they make, but the way they interact with their loyal customers. One such brand is the U.K based Land Rover, which boast of a history and loyalty which is second to none. And why are they in news? Well, the Tata group owned company has given one of the most beautiful Valentine's Day gift to four friends.
Will Radford, Jeremy Wells, Anthony Dawson, and James Shatwell, four childhood friends from New Zealand got themselves a 1957 Series I Land Rover which helped them see the world. Due to reasons like their marriages and breaking down of the SUV quite often, they decided to list the car online and they to their surprise, an unexpected thing happened.
Land Rover, without revealing their real identity, secretly purchased the SUV and tore down the Series I to its bare essentials. All they did was restore the SUV to its original form, starting from paint job, stickers, battle scars and everything else, virtually replicating the SUV named 'Landy' by the original four owners. Land Rover than involved one of the boys' wives to give a Valentine's Day surprise.
On 14th February, 2015, Land Rover played a national ad campaign revealing the restored SUV, which made the boys all nostalgic and the wife gave them keys of the Landy, which they took for the spin almost after 10 years.
