Few Supercars can invoke emotions in an automobile enthusiast as Porsche does, and there is no doubt about that. The iconic German Supercar manufacturer has now been long in the market and their flagship Porsche 911 is one of the most sought-after vehicles. But that doesn't mean the other vehicles are no good. Infact a car like Cayman can't be written-off just like that.
And the yesterday’s unveiling of Porsche Cayman GT4 proved that Porsche means business when it comes to manufacture high-end performance cars. Following the online debut, Porsche has returned with a new and arguably exciting feature clip for Cayman GT4. And guess what, the iconic brand filmed the brilliant car in an iconic circuit in itself, the Nurburgring.
The Cayman GT4 took merely 7 minutes and 40 seconds to complete a lap in the Nordschleife, thanks to a 385 hp producing flat-six 3.8 litre mill. Offered with a six-speed manual gearbox only, the GT4 can do 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds before topping out at 295 kmph. Aerodynamics are enhanced by a fixed rear wing along with a 30mm lowered ride height.
Described as being a "long-awaited step beyond the boundary", Porsche feared cannibalizing sales of the iconic 911, and hence decided to launch a range-topping GT4 version of the Cayman.
