Maruti Suzuki Ertiga can be easily called a successful MPV in Indian market. In fact, Ertiga is the only product that could come close to the sheer brilliance and demand that Toyota Innova offers despite its compact size. While Maruti Suzuki launched the facelifted Ertiga in the country recently followed by the launch of Ertiga SHVS, Suzuki has launched the Ertiga Dreza in Indonesia.
The Ertiga Dreza is more of an exclusive version of the Ertiga in India with cosmetics changes on the outside and additional features inside. Ertiga Dreza will replace the existing Ertiga in whole South East Asia soon. As for India, no words have come from manufacturer since minor facelift Ertiga was launched in India recently, still chances are Maruti will showcase it at the Auto Expo next month.
Talking about the design change, the new Suzuki Ertiga Dreza comes with a redesigned front end that gets whole new chrome grille extending up to bumper. There's also additional LED DRLs with fog lamps making the front angle standing out of the crowd. On the side profile, the Ertiga Dreza gets sill guards and turbine shaped alloy wheels.
Moving to the rear, the Dreza gets a revised bumper with chrome finish and new spoiler. The rear end also gets a high mounted stop lamp and Dreza badging on the tail gate. The Indonesia spec Ertiga also gets rear reflectors extending from the tail lights. The Dreza MPV will be offered in an exclusive Pearl Twilight shade.
Inside the cabin, the new Suzuki Ertiga Dreza will get an upgraded 9-inch High Definition (HD) touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system will be equipped with navigation system too and runs on Android 4.1, the latest OS. Wood inserts have been added to the otherwise same dashboard while the seats will now come in a dual-tone dark and light brown fabric. On the safety front, Dreza comes with ABS with EBD, Keyless entry and immobiliser key.
As mentioned earlier, the Suzuki Ertiga Dreza only gets cosmetic changes and no mechanical changes have been made. This means that the Indonesia spec model will continue to draw its power from the 1.4-litre K-Series petrol motor which produces 90 bhp and 130 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions.
As for the launch price, the Ertiga Dreza start at 216.9 million Indonesian Rupiah (around Rs. 10.4 lakhs) for the base MT variant. The range topping Dreza GS AT goes up to 236.5 million Indonesian Rupiah (around Rs. 11.34 lakhs).
