Audi has released another teaser for the upcoming Q, but this time it is a video with an aerial view of the entry level SUV. The new Q will be Audi’s smallest crossover that will make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. This 16 second clip shows that the new Q will be in yellow paint too and it will borrow the body design cues from the other members of the Q family.
In the previous teaser, it showed the front and rear of the this mini SUV hiding its sharp profile underneath a car wrap. Speaking of the underpinning, the new Q2 will be constructed on the same flexible MQB modular platform and will be offered in a standard front-wheel drive. It is also expected to get an optional quattro setup in the top-ranking variant.
Interesting part comes in the engine lineup, where the Audi Q2 is expected to get an 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a larger 1.4 TSI is also expected along with turbodiesels trims. A 1.6 and 2.0 TDIs is also expected and depending upon the engine size a six-speed manual transmission and a DSG will be available.
Stay tuned as the new Q will be unveiled on 1 March at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 and it is most likely to be launch in the second half this year.
