MotoAmerica’s Monster Energy Graves Yamaha team got their hands on a stock 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1M, and decided to give their rider Cameron Beaubier a go at it on the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. For our readers, Graves Motorsports was born in 1990 out of the dreams, desire, and dedication. Both a manufacturer of performance accessories and a professional road racing team, the Van Nuys, California company’s ceaseless mission is: craftsmanship leads to championships. Serving that goal, Graves Motorsports provides privateer racers with Factory-quality, race-proven performance parts.

While , the teams rider, Beaubier was a member of the Red Bull MotoGP Academy, and competed in the Red Bull Moto GP Rookies Cup in 2007. He also competed in the 125cc Spanish CEV Championship in 2008. Returning to America in 2010, Beaubier contested the AMA Pro Supersport East Championship. In 2011 and 2012 he raced for the Yamaha Extended Service Graves Yamaha Team riding an R6 in the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike series.

The bike is mostly stock, save for a few Graves improvements, and we get one of our first glimpses of the new R1 on the race track. Enjoy!
