Volkswagen India has introduced the CrossPolo in petrol fuel trim in the country. The lone petrol variant - Cross Polo 1.2 MPI - has been launched at a sticker price of Rs. 6.94 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Mumbai). Till now, the Volkswagen CrossPolo used to come in diesel avatar only, but now it would also have a petrol variant with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder MPI Engine.

The Volkswagen CrossPolo 1.2 MPI comes loaded with striking exterior features in form of dual-beam halogen headlamps with black finish, 15-inch alloy wheels, ‘Cross’ bumpers with silver accents, silver-painted roof rails and rear-view mirror housing and ‘Cross’ front grille with chrome accent. Inside the cabin, it has advanced and up-market interior with exquisite features like leather- wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, superior ‘Cloud Titan Black’ upholstery and ‘Climatronic’ automatic air-conditioning. As far as safety is concerned, it comes with a 4-star NCAP safety rating. Moreover, for advanced safety, it has been blessed with premium safety features: anti-lock brakes (ABS) and dual front airbags.

Under the hood, it has a 1.2L, 3-cylinder MPI motor which churns out a maximum power of 74 bhp and top torque of 110Nm. This engine is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission to obtain a healthy fuel economy of 16.47kmpl. Bookings for this new CrossPolo 1.2 MPI would start from tomorrow. It would be offered in Flash Red, Deep Black and Reflex Silver color shades. Mr. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “With the New Volkswagen Cross Polo, we will inject some excitement into the premium hatchback segment in India. With its rugged, dynamic styling, upmarket interiors and high levels of safety, we are sure the New Cross Polo will appeal to buyers who like a bit of sportiness and individuality in their cars.”
