German carmaker, Volkswagen has succeeded in drawing attention in the Indian car market by launching its ‘Made for India and Made in India’ Ameo compact sedan with its deliveries starting from July 2016. Europe's leading manufacturer VW announced its monthly sales performance for the month of July 2016, where the brand sold 4,301 units as compared to 4,029 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
The company has an enhanced product presence in the Indian market across categories with a widened choice of products to experience a fun drive ahead of the upcoming festive season. Currently, Volkswagen sells a range of models starting from compact sedan Ameo to compact car Beetle that are priced Rs 5.31 lakh to Rs.30.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Recently, the German automobile conglomerate has managed to sell some good amount of vehicles, becoming the world's largest manufacturer for the first half of 2016. Volkswagen trumped Toyota from the Numero Uno spot to gain the top position, and that too after facing a lot of crisis due to the infamous Dieselgate episode.
