Volkswagen India Opens New Dealership in Erode, Tamil Nadu

Volkswagen India has in inaugurated a new showroom in Erode, Tamil Nadu. Being named as Volkswagen Erode and located at S.F. No: 327/2B, Perundurai Road, Erode- 638012, it is a 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) dealership equipped with 07 car display areas, 06 service bays and adequate spares stock. The inauguration of the new showroom is the 13th customer touchpoint in the state of Tamil Nadu and will be spearheaded by Mr. Sudersan Jagadeesan, Dealer Principal, Volkswagen Erode. The inauguration of Volkswagen Erode will take the total network to 122 showrooms in 106 cities across India.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The inauguration of Volkswagen Erode, is another step towards providing convenience and comfort for our customers in the region. We believe that our association with customers goes beyond sales and it is our constant endeavor to provide them with a holistic Volkswagen experience at our dealerships.  With this inauguration we expand our foothold in the region with a strong product portfolio and compelling offering that is sure to interest buyers.” The service advisors and technicians at the dealership are professionally trained to assist customers with buying and servicing Volkswagen vehicles, which now includes the newly launched Tiguan, GTI and Made-in-India Made-for-India Ameo.

Recently, the Highline Plus trim of Polo hatch and Ameo sub-compact sedan was spotted at the company dealerships, indicating that a launch is on cards. The Highline Plus would be the range-topping variant in the Polo and Ameo line-up, while being available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims. Though, mechanically it would retain the same set of powertrains, but it would get visual updates in form of bigger alloy wheels, dual-tone paint, lower body cladding and reverse parking camera. The Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus is expected to cost around Rs. 30,000 more than the top-end variant, while the Ameo Highline Plus petrol and diesel variants are expected to range between Rs. 7.35-7.45 Lakhs and Rs. 8.59-8.69 Lakhs (Both Ex. Showroom, Mumbai), respectively.
