The bookings are expected to start from next month, while deliveries are promised from July 2016. Volkswagen Ameo would be positioned between Polo hatch and Vento sedan. The Ameo shares several exterior and interior elements with the Polo. The engine at helm would be the 1.2L petrol developing 74bhp and 110Nm, while the diesel variants would be powered by the 1.5L motor which belts out 89bhp and 230Nm. Both these engines would be linked to manual transmission, while a DSG automatic gearbox could be introduced at a later stage.
