Volkswagen India has started the next phase commences the next phase of its pre-launch campaign for the made in India and made for India car, the Ameo. With this campaign, Volkswagen invites its prospective customers to touch and feel the first sub-4 meter sedan from Volkswagen and avail the opportunity to pre-book the car at their nearest Volkswagen dealership.
Ameo roadshow will host a 360-degree campaign through Print, Digital & Radio media and on-ground engagement, in which a series of 3 films will be played at all dealerships encapsulating the essence of Ameo’s first in class features. These features will include driver assistance system like cruise control, rain sensing wipers and reverse parking camera. The films highlight company’s understanding of the requirements of Indian consumers and are presented in a humorous yet compelling manner.
The compact sedan made its world premiere at the Auto Expo 2016. Mechanically, the Ameo will be available with two engine options : 1.2-litre 3-cylinder MPI and 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TDI engine. The top-end Highline variants, they would boast of several high-end features such as alloy wheels, brushed aluminium interior accents, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, rain sensing wipers, reverse camera and sensors, front centre armrest with rear AC vents, automatic climate control, electrically retractable wing mirrors, auto dimming interior rear view mirror, front foglights with static cornering lights, rear defogger and touchscreen MirrorLink infotainment system with steering mounted controls.
As the safety has always been of importance for Volkswagen, the compact sedan is equipped with dual front airbags and ABS as standard fitment across all variants.
