Volkswagen launches new Beetle in India at Rs. 28.73 lakh

Volkswagen India, the Indian arm of the European leading car manufacturer announces the launch of the 21st Century Volkswagen Beetle. Over the years, the Beetle has always been complemented with love, a symbol of freedom and unique styling amongst its admirers. The 21st Century Beetle continues to retain the core DNA of the Beetle Carline that will live up to its promise of being a charming head-turner and the price starts from Rs. 28.73 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and is sold across select Volkswagen dealerships in India.

On this occasion, Mr. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “The Beetle is an iconic car that has scripted automotive history for over six decades, and we are delighted to announce the India launch of the 21st Century Beetle. Carrying forward its unmistakably timeless charm, blended with modern day technological sophistication, the 21st Century Beetle now comes with rounded yet masculine proportions and a host of refined, irresistible internal and exterior features. With leaner proportions, sporty and dynamic performance, stylish exteriors, luxurious interiors and an absolute delight behind the wheel, the 21st century Beetle is power packed with turbocharged 1.4-litre TSI engine which is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox that will dish out 150 PS of maximum output at 5000 – 6000 rpm and 250 Nm peak of torque at 1500 – 3500 rpm.

The 21st Century Beetle is available in 4 body color options of Habanero Orange, Oryx White, Tornado Red, Blue Silk.
