Volkwagen India has added a new edition of the Polo hatchback on its official website and has unveiled the Polo ALLSTAR in India. The ALLSTAR Edition comes with some features shared from the company’s recently launched compact sedan, the Ameo. Offered in Blue Silk colour also that introduced during the launch of the Ameo. The car still competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz.
The significant change in the car is that it now comes with the newly designed multi-spoke alloy wheels that looks noticeable and an 'ALLSTAR' Logo on the B-pillars. Apart from Ameo’s Blue Silk exterior paint, it is also available in Candy White, Reflex Silver, Flash Red and Toffy Brown shades, while the Carbon Steel and Copper Orange shades are not further carried to the ALLSTAR edition.
Inside the ALLSTAR edition, you find many changes than its exterior updates such as front centre armrest with storage in it and rear AC vents, additionally, it also gets new seats with vertical contrast stripes, aluminium paddles and ALLSTAR embossed sill plates.
Under the hood, the Polo ALLSTAR Edition will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel option. The petrol variant will be a 1.2-litre MPI that makes 75 PS of peak power with 110 Nm of torque. The diesel version will be a 1.5-litre TDI with a power output of 90 PS with 230 Nm. Both the powertrain will come connected to a five-speed manual transmission.
With the addition of features like rear AC vents and front armrest with storage, this edition is a better package than the regular model. It is expected to be Rs 50,000 pricier than the top-of-the-line Polo TDi and MPi, within in a price bracket of Rs 7.5 lakh for the petrol and around Rs 9 lakh for the diesel (all prices, Ex showroom).
