Volkswagen India again launched a special edition version of its models – Polo, Ameo and Vento named as ‘Black and White’ edition. Now a ‘Deep Black’ colour option is also added to these models. The Polo, Ameo and Vento will come with a sportier appearance, making a better proposition for the buyers without any changes to the mode’s cost.
Enhancing their models, the Black and White edition of Polo, Ameo, Vento will get some exterior styling such as body graphics, blacked outside rearview mirrors and sunroof, chrome ‘Black & White’ badging on the fender, a sporty roof edge spoiler, a glossy rear spoiler, while the car will ride on a set of 16-inch Portago alloy wheels. On the inside, there are not many changes ‘Black & White’ leatherette upholstery is what you get.
Mechanically, all the three models will continue to come with the same set of engines as offered on the regular versions. The Polo hatchback is powered by a 1L 3-cylinder petrol engine that develops 75 bhp of maximum power with 95 Nm of torque and a 1.5L diesel engine that makes 89 bhp with 230 Nm of top torque, where both engines will come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Ameo too gets the same engine as seen on the Polo, but the diesel motor is more powerful belting out 108 bhp with 250Nm torque and the diesel variant also gets a choice of 5-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG.
Coming to the Vento, it is offered with three engine options - 1.6L petrol unit that makes 104 bhp with 153 Nm with a 5-speed manual, a 1.2L TSI petrol engine that cranks out 104 bhp with 175 Nm paired with a 7-speed DSG, and a 1.5L diesel motor that develops 108 bhp with 250Nm and the engine is available with a 5-speed manual as well as a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
