Volkswagen T-Roc begins test drives in India as it prepares for a launch during the Auto Expo 2020.
This SUV competes directly with MG Hector, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, and the Skoda Karoq (upcoming).

Volkswagen plans to launch the Volkswagen T-Roc SUV in India at the 2020 Auto Expo. It has been seen testing on Indian roads as a preparation for the scheduled launch.
The company plans to import the Volkswagen T-Roc through the CBU route. This rule allows auto manufacturers to import up to 2,500 vehicles in a year without the local homologation process.
The Volkswagen T-Roc exterior boasts of an excellent design including a stylish hexagonal grille, horizontal LED headlights, LED DRLs, horizontal fog lamps, and an attractive bumper that includes a mesh grille.
The vehicle gets 5-spoke alloy wheels placed under distinctive wheel arches and underbody cladding. The rear side of the SUV sports a massive bumper that houses horizontal LED taillamps. The roof-mounted spoiler, reflectors, and the silver skid plat are other notable attractions.
Not many details are available on the Volkswagen T-Roc interiors. However, the international model sports an all-black interior design interspersed with body-colored contrasting spots on the dashboard, door pads, and the center panel. The upholstery is of the highest quality. The contrast stitches add to the glamorous look.
On the infotainment front, the Volkswagen T-Roc comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen system and a digital 11.3-inch instrument screen. Apple CarPlay and Android connectivity are some of the other attractions available on this SUV.
The Indian version of the SUV will get a 1.5L petrol engine capable of producing 148bhp power. This TSI gasoline engine combines with a 7-speed dual-clutch auto transmission system.
