European car manufacturer, Volkswagen launched the Vento Preferred edition in the country. The Vento Preferred Edition that comes packed with premium new features and a navigation device. The Preferred edition is available across all Comfortline variants of the Vento - MPI, TSI, TDI and TDI DSG.
The edition has been launched focusing on the requirements of corporate executives who seek more from the car. The Vento Preferred Edition gets several additional features on the inside as well as outside such as high quality leather seat covers, a portable navigation device equipped with a wireless rear view camera, roof rails, alloy wheels and side moulding.
Speaking on this, Mr Michael Mayer – Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “The Vento has been one of our best-selling vehicles since its launch in the Indian market and we are delighted to announce the introduction of ‘Vento Preferred’. The vehicle will offer features that are premium and ensure seamless navigation in a single click, we are sure that our customers will find value in the Preferred experience. We continue to increase our offerings on our existing product line, ensuring that we cater to our customer requirements.”
Under the hood, the Vento comes packed with a range of 3 engines - two are petrol and one diesel units. Earlier, all the powertrains use to belt out same amount of power – a figure of 103 bhp, but now there is an updated 1.5-litre diesel mill that produces a power of 108 bhp (same engine introduced in the VW Ameo). The 1.6 liter petrol is a 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit that offers a peak torque of 153 Nm, the 1.2 liter petrol turbocharged mill that is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission offers 175 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel mill produces 250 Nm of torque and comes connected with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
