Speaking of the V90 Cross Country, it is an estate version of the V90 sedan which is quite popular in European nations. The Cross Country version gets some additional exterior elements which make it even sportier and rugged such as black plastic cladding over the wheel arches, prominent roof rails and skid plates on the front and rear bumpers. It also comes with increased ground clearance, and approach and departure angles. Dimensionally, it a bit shorter than the V90 sedan as it measures 4938mm against V90's length of 5082mm. The Volvo V90 Cross Country would have a boot capacity of 590 litres, which can be further extended to 1526 litres by folding down the rear seats.

The interior cabin of V90 Cross Country would be finished in a dual tone theme, while boasting of a large touchscreen infotainment system as standard. There would be brown leather seats and black dashboard. Under the hood, it would have a 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel engine with maximum power output of 232bhp and peak torque performance of 480Nm. The engine would be linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission, while power being transmitted to all the four wheels via an all-wheel drive system. The SUV would also have four driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. It would be retailed as completely built unit (CBU) in the Indian market and the company intends to achieve an annual sales target of 200 units.
