The Swedish carmaker, Volvo has launched the latest petrol engine-driven SUV, the XC40 T4 R-Design in India for Rs 39.90 lakhs.
The XC40 has always been available as a diesel engine variant since its launch in India.
This version features a BSVI-compliant 2L 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine capable of producing a power of 190hp and torque of 300Nm. The pairs with an 8-speed auto transmission system and comes with an FWD option. The existing diesel variant sports an AWD layout.
The XC40 is available as an R-Design trim. Therefore, it comes with the standard features like a panoramic sunroof, 9-inch portrait-style infotainment screen, and wireless charging facilities for smartphones. This car has exciting features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument console. Other attractions include a 14-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system, rear parking assist feature, dual-zone climate control, a powered tailgate section, and diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Initially, the Volvo XC40 was available as a diesel-engine driven R-Design variant. Subsequently, Volvo released two more options, a Momentum trim level and a high-spec Inscription trim priced at Rs 39.90 lakhs and Rs 43.90 lakhs respectively. Volvo has now discontinued the diesel engine variant from its production line.
Volvo is planning to bring the XC40 Recharge EV to the Indian auto market. The company is also striving its best to keep the model prices in check.
