Indian motorcycle market is revving high and the country is slowly becoming a hub for motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world. Some of the major manufacturers are working towards entering into a different motorcycle segment of adventure motorcycles. The Adventure segment is totally new for India and actually these is nothing available in the quarter-litre adventure motorcycles yet.
Royal Enfield is likely to launch their 400cc adventure motorcycle Himalayan very soon and if reports are to be believed even Kawasaki Ninja 300 based adventure tourer is in the making. Apart from Royal Enfield and Kawasaki if there is another manufacturer from which we can expect an adventure tourer then it is none other than Suzuki. These days internet is getting filled with the news of Suzuki working on a bigger capacity Gixxer and we have many reason to believe that the new adventure tourer will be sharing the same engine platform as the bigger Gixxer. Suzuki will introduce the quarter-litre adventure as the smaller sibling of the V-Storm 650. So late next year we can expect Suzuki to unveil V-Storm 250. Apart from Suzuki and Kawasaki, the orange brand KTM might also be working for the same segment, and an adventure motorcycle based on 390 Duke will be the perfect machine India will need.
