The Indian arm of the German conglomerate, Volkswagen has appointed Mr. Bishwajeet Samal as the new Head of Marketing, for the Volkswagen Passenger Cars in India. Volkswagen India is currently working towards strengthening its core team and the new appointee, Mr. Bhishwajeet Samal will be handling the Regional Marketing as well as International Communications at Volkswagen AG. Mr. Samal will be reporting to Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.

Mr. Bhishwajeet Samal has been with Volkswagen since 2008 and after spending a decade with the company, he has returned to his homeland, India. With over 10 years of experience at Volkswagen, Mr. Samal will now undertake the responsibility of Head of Marketing, VW Passenger Cars In India effective June 1, 2018.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. We are confident that Bishwajeet’s extensive experience in Marketing shall contribute to our growth in India.”
Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Bishwajeet Samal, Head of Marketing, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “I am extremely overwhelmed to have returned to India and working in this dynamic market. I look forward towards further strengthening the brands’ presence in India.” Volkswagen currently retails a host of models in India including Passat, Tiguan, Polo GTI, Vento, Ameo, Polo and Polo GT. The company recently launched Polo Pace and Vento Sport Limited Edition in India.
