The ultra-premium motorcycle maker from Italy, MV-Agusta has hit another benchmark in-terms of sales in 2015. The over-all sales crossed a total of 9,000 units for the current year. The gross domestic sales figures for the company remained unchanged (compared to 2014) but on the other hand total exports rocketed due to a high demand in the international market. The UK motorcycle market saw the highest sales increase (140 per cent).
Switzerland registered an increase of 14 per cent while Spain saw 54 per cent increase in sales. The growth in German market touched around 26 per cent. Far East also proved to be beneficial for the Italian firm with new unit sales increasing to around 12 per cent in that market. Turismo Veloce, Dragster RR and Brutale 800 are the best sellers from the Italian manufacturer that makes nearly 35 per cent of total sales.
The President and CEO Giovanni Castiglioni has commented: “2015 has been a very important year for MV Agusta. With the launch of the Turismo Veloce, we have created the first touring MV Agusta. A motorcycle that differentiates itself from its competitors by introducing a whole new dimension and experience to traveling. This model has been an important factor in sustaining the increase in sales growth, margin and revenues. 2016 will also see the anticipated debut of the most important model in terms of sales volumes and image; the all new Brutale 800. The press launch will take place in January 2016, 15 years after the original Brutale rolled out, and a total sales of over 30,000 units.”
