In this day and age while most of us try to peer into the future, with an intent of finding out what lies ahead, there are few others, who know that what has already past, was golden, and they try to live in the future, by bringing back to life which is already a thing of the glorious and memorable past. Carrying forward the rich legacy of vintage cars in India, 21 Guns Salute Heritage & Cultural Trust have dedicated themselves to the cause of keeping the heritage of cars intact, by annually organising a Vintage Car Rally. The annual rally has only grown larger and grander with each passing year since it began in the year 2011.
Announcements for the sixth Vintage Car Rally and Concourse Show were made today (8th October, 2016) with the preview of newly restored 1952 Daimler DB18 Drophead Coupe. We were present at the event where the founder, Mr. Madan Mohan, discussed the roadmap of the event that’s scheduled to take place in February next year.
Mr Madan Mohan said, “In the 6th edition of the 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally & Concourse Show, we are bringing before you the opulence in abundance of the century old imperial heritage of the country across the globe.”
The event is one of its kinds in India and would truly become global this time with participation of car clubs and collectors from USA, UK, France, Germany, China and several other countries. The 6th edition Vintage Car Rally and Concourse show, 2016 would see participation of 75 hand-picked Indian vintage cars alongside the 15 International vintage cars.
In addition to the rare cars, extremely rare motorcycles of the bygone era from manufacturers like Indian, Norton and Royal Enfield would also be showcased. While we all are aware of the Buggati Veyron which itself is no longer in production and is deemed to become a classic, from the same manufacturer, very rare and exquisite car “Buggati Royale” would be showcased among other, very rare cars.
The two day motoring event would serve as a feast for car aficionados who wish to see the Royal and Rare cars from respected collectors from India and other countries, all under one roof. What makes the event even more special is that you can watch the sensational premium cars participate in a speed controlled racing at the Indian F1 track – Bhudd International Circuit, Noida.
