‘Nano’ a car mnaufactured by the Indian car manufacturing company, ‘Tata Motors’ has set a world record for taking the ‘longest journey’. This arduous journey was undertaken by a Mr. S.Subrahmanyam from Bangaluroo who along with his team has entered Tata Nano for ‘The Guiness World Record’ for setting a record. Mr. Subrahmanyam set the record by undertaking a journey of ten thousand two hundred eighteen KMS throughout the country. He was praised at a function by top management excutive of Tata Motors as well by a ‘Narian Karthikeyan’ the 1st Indian to race in ‘Formula One’.
On the same occasion a book, titled ‘Atop the World’, which was written by ‘Thomas Chacko’ was also introduced. Mr. Chacko had undertaken a journey of seventy eight days all over India, in his Tata Nano and had written of his experience during this journey in his book. A senior executive from the Company praised both individuals for their adventurous spirit and their love of driving. He thanked them for using a strong and quality car like Tata Nao for their journeys. He also said ‘that Tata Nano’ has proved that it is a strong and ‘reliable’ car. He praised both the drivers and said that the company is glad it was they used its reliable vehicle. ‘Narain Karthikeyan’ also spoke on the occasion and said that he is glad to notice that recently a new breed of travellers have emerged in India who like adventures and like to drive long ‘distances’ for pleasure. Both the drivers have shown this type of spirit of adventure. He also said that this type of journey needs a vehicle which is both strong and reliable and he was proud to say that Tata Nano proved to be a suitable vehicle for long journeys. The vehicle was driven on difficult roads and through uncertain weather and came out triumphant in the endurance ‘test’ as well.
