The much anticipated Zero emission car powered by hydrogen was launched by the Korean car producer Hyundai, named the ix35. This car was exposed in the United Kingdom, and five variants of this fuel celled car will be available for the citizens of the U.K within the year 2015 as quoted by the LHNE (London Hydrogen Network Expansion).
The ix35 is predicted to give a range of 637.3 kilometers, while having easy refuel at pit stops and sturdy common sense. These hydrogen run cars will help London to become the universal heart of hydrogen and gas cubicle automobile activity. When the ix35 is compared with non-hydrogen cars, it can also deliver the same and sometimes more performance than a normal car. The ix35 can go from 0-100 Kmph in just 12.5 seconds and has a maximum top speed of 161 Kmph. This performance level is greater than many non-hydrogen run cars, and the refueling takes around two or three minutes max, so saves time too.
According to the deputy mayor of business and enterprise, Kit Malthouse, the use of these fuel celled automobiles has pushed London to the vanguard of the hydrogen movement, these cars will be chartered to key communities and classified convoy users in the whole of London. The battery operated cars are good and Eco friendly, but are temporary and cannot be used for long runs, even though the city has more than 1,300 charging points, they need to charge frequently and that takes a lot of time, and people will not be able to charge it overnight outside the house since London has a very thick population.
The hydrogen run car is an answer to all the problems of environmental damage, using non-renewable sources of energy, and time. The ix35 is clean, powerful and uses hydrogen as fuel which the atmosphere has a never ending supply of, and burning hydrogen can only produce oxygen or water which does not hurt the ozone layer or the environment, according to Kit Malthouse.
