Yamaha Motor India has announced an astonishing growth rate of 50% in domestic sales for the month of February 2016, as compared to the corresponding period last year. Yamaha Motor India sold 56,960 units last month when compared to 37,982 units sold in February 2015. The Japanese motorcycle maker came up with their flagship scooter, Fascino, last year and since Indian scooter market is on boom, it can said as a contributing part for Yamaha’s rocketed sales figures.
That aside, the company also launched new colour variants of YZF-R15 version 2.0, Yamaha SZ-RR version 2.0 and Saluto to allure a larger set of audience. Expanding the sales network, Yamaha Motor India also launched new dealerships across states last month that has also contributed to increase in sales.
Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, “This consecutive growth of 50% in February too, is a result of Yamaha’s innovative customer contact programs and increasing reach. It's fuelled by Yamaha’s passion in sales and after sales activities towards its customers, to give them an unforgettable experience of the brand. Yamaha is very grateful to its customers for having faith in the brand. During the Auto Expo 2016, Yamaha was overwhelmed to see the customer’s response at the Yamaha pavilion, specially their reactions on the recently unveiled scooter Ray Z-R and the latest launch of MT-09. Their reaction is a true reflection of their love towards Yamaha."
