Yamaha Motor India records a steep growth of 33 per cent in September sales

The Indian subsidiary of the Japanese motorcycle maker, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has recently announced that the company has added another feather in the hat by selling more than one lakh units in September 2016. The company also grew by 33 per cent in terms of domestic sales in the month of September this year as compared to the corresponding month of 2015.
Yamaha sold 89,423 units last month as compared to 67,267 units sold by the company in September 2015 in the domestic market, also including Nepal. While exports stood at a strong 11,730 units (excluding Nepal) in last month.
Talking about Yamaha’s steep growth in the month of September, Mr. Roy Kurian, VP, Sales and Marketing at Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd said, “September has been a historic month for Yamaha. The total number of sales in the market reached an all-time high, which is a direct reflection of constant faith of customers along with the immeasurable passion shown by the network partners.” On discussing over future business projection, he added, “Yamaha’s sustained growth across segments has intensified its march towards the one million units mark and by 2017 Yamaha could hit the coveted number. The demand for scooters in rural markets will rapidly draw parallel to the urban figures and Yamaha will continue to drive its scooters in the non-urban markets for the rest of the year.”
