Yamaha India has introduced new color options to the Cygnus Ray-ZR portfolio in the country. The scooter is available in two variants - Drum priced at Rs. 53,451 and Disc priced at Rs. 55,898 (Both Ex. Showroom, New Delhi). Currently, the company, besides Ray-ZR, has a couple of more scooters in its portfolio in form of Cygnus Alpha and Fascino. Yamaha Ray-ZR is now available in five eye-catching colors - Armada Blue (Disc), Matt Green (Disc/Drum), Maverick Blue (Disc/Drum) and Rooster Red (Disc) along with the existing Darknight Edition (Disc).

Ltd. added, “As the two-wheeler industry recorded a growth of almost 8% in the year 2017, the scooters segment maintained its growth momentum at 12%. The brand has been able to make steady inroads and will rev hearts with many more exciting products, particularly targeted at trend conscious young customers. By introducing new colors in Cygnus Ray ZR, the company will look forward to reinstate fresh excitement in this segment.” Speaking of Yamaha Ray-ZR, it flaunts deeply-sculpted and powerful front mask, effortlessly-layered straight lines, and tail surround accentuated with a sense of speed.
As for features, the scooter boasts of Well designed instrument cluster with excellent readability even at night. Weighing a mere 103 kgs, it has 21 litres of under seat storage space. Yamaha Ray-ZR is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, 113 cc, “BLUE CORE” engine, which delivers best fuel efficiency in its class at 66kmpl* (*under standard test conditions). For those not aware of Yamaha's BLUE CORE technology, it is a next-generation engine development ideal for models that take riding enjoyment, fuel efficiency and environmental performance to all-new levels. Implemented by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd, (YMC), Japan on various models, it focuses on increasing combustion efficiency and cooling efficiency, while reducing power loss. The Scooter rides on tubeless tyres as standard.
