Snapshot: From the patent pictures MT-320 looks fully similar to the MT-25 and it is visible that MT-320 will be equipped with ABS as a standard
Few months back Yamaha came up with MT25 the naked version of R25 in the Indonesian market. Recently Yamaha unveiled the patent drawings of MT-03 which will be called by the name MT-320. Just like the MT-25 is based on R25, the MT-320 shares the engine from R3. From the patent pictures MT-320 looks fully similar to the MT25. It is visible from the pictures that MT-320 will be equipped with ABS as a standard.
It looks almost complete and there are fair chances that Yamaha might showcase MT-320 at the 2016 Auto Expo. It is obvious that Yamaha will bring this bike from the CKD route whenever they plan to launch this bike in the Indian market. MT-320 shares the engine with the R3; it is a 321cc liquid cooled engine that is capable of delivering a good 41.4bhp of raw power at 10750rpm and 29.6Nm of peak torque at 9000rpm. It is a twin cylinder, 4-valves, 4-stroke, DOHC engine and is mated to a six speed constant mesh manual transmission. After a lot of wait Yamaha is finally launching R3 in the Indian market next month. Both R3 and MT-320 looks promising and are well suited for Indian market. R3 will lock horns with KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300, while MT-320 will take down KTM Duke 390 and Kawasaki 250. Happy times are coming fellas.!
