The Japanese auto firm, Yamaha, showcased the new and more aggressive looking Cygnus Ray ZR which is basically the facelifted Yamaha Ray Z at this year’s AutoExpo. And now the company has made it official that they will be launching the same in the Indian market on 14th of April. The scooter has received a host of visual changes that has contributed to a more aggressive design of it. The body panels have been completely redesigned and also it gets a whole new front look by newly reshaped headlight and front fender integrated direction indicators.

Apart from that the most striking part of the visuals comes from the racy decals that the new Cygnus Ray ZR badges. Talking about the mechanicals, it draws its power from the same 113cc air-cooled powertrain that is seen in its predecessor. This engine delivers a 7bhp of maximum power and 8Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a CVT automatic transmission. On the braking part, it will be offered with an optional disc brake variant that will be available in the alloy wheel variant of the Cygnus Ray ZR. When launched it will compete against the like of the highly popular Honda Activa 110, Honda Dio, TVS Jupiter and Mahindra Gusto.
