One of the most renowned publication, Topgear India has quoted that Yamaha R3 will be launched in August 2015. According to further report, Yamaha India has also planned MT-320 for the next years March launch.  R3 will be imported to India via the CKD (completely Knocked Down) route from the same Indonesian manufacturing facility that produces the R25. The quarter-litre motorcycle segment in India is growing big and we have motorcycles like Ninja 300, RC 390, TNT 300 and many more fighting in the same segment of motorcycles.

Talking about the bike R3 is powered by a 320cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with DOHC which enables the engine to produce a peak power of 42PS, while the peak torque comes around at 29.6Nm. Utilizing what Yamaha calls the R-Series technology which incorporates tech like a direct-drive camshaft, forged pistons, carburized con rods, low-friction cylinders and much more. The engine is matched to a constant mesh, 6-speed transmission. Yamaha R3 sure looks killer and R3 is a very good package over-all but since India is a very price sensitive market, the pricing of Yamaha R3 will play a crucial role in its success. We hope Yamaha launches it as soon as the can, we just can’t wait to put our legs on the R3.
