Rumours have started pouring in from the inside of Yamaha family and according to them, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer is all set to launch a 125cc scooter in India which will roll out from the Chennai plant by mid-2015. Currently, Yamaha has no presence in the 125cc category where the bigger players are already there like Honda Activa, Vespa and Suzuki Access as all the three scooters are 113cc. Production is supposed to start from April 2015 at its upcoming Chennai plant where Yamaha also plans to manufacturer its Alpha starting from this November.

More interesting is the news that Yamaha launched a scooter named Nozza Grande in Vietnam on July 22. The scooter will target the women commuters of Vietnam and is 125cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected and has good fuel-efficiency.  Sources say that the Indian scooter should be very identical looking to the Nozza Grande as the Norra Grande has been prepared specifically for the Asian market which includes Indian as well.
