Yuvraj Singh needs no introduction, thanks to his long-standing cricket career. The ace batsman who is fond of luxury cars and high-end bikes recently added a brand new BMW G 310 R to his flamboyant garage. Yuvraj Singh bought the naked street motorcycle from BMW Krishna Automobiles Chandigarh & Ludhiana, which serves the Punjab region of India. Being retailed at a price of Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the BMW G 310 R was recently launched in India. Interestingly, Yuvraj Singh is the first celebrity in India to buy this motorcycle.
Along with this, BMW Motorrad also launched G 310 GS in the country which is available at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). BMW is also offering an unlimited kilometre warranty for 3 years which can further be extended to 4 or 5 years. Both the bikes have been launched by BMW in collaboration with TVS that are manufactured at TVS’ Hosur unit in Tamil Nadu. This makes India the fourth country globally after Germany, Brazil and Thailand where BMW bikes are being manufactured.
Power on the BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS comes from the 313 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that equips four valves and a DOHC cylinder head which is also found in the TVS Apache RR 310. In terms of power, the liquid-cooled engine makes maximum power of 34 hp along with 28 Nm torque. Transmission duties on both the bikes are carried out by a six-speed unit. Both the bikes are built on the tubular steel frames and they feature five-spoke alloy wheels. It additionally comes with an ABS system and is available in three different colour-Style HP, Cosmic Black and Racing Red. In the Indian market, the BMW G 310 R goes straight against Apache RR 310, KTM Duke 390 and Benelli TNT 300.
