Bajaj Pulsar RS400 to launch this festive season
Snapshot: The all new Bajaj Pulsar RS 400 is likely to launch by Diwali 2016 with an expected price tag of around Rs 1.75 lakh.
Unveiled at Delhi Auto Expo 2014, the Bajaj Pulsar RS 400 has been the most awaited motorcycle among bike enthusiasts in our country. As per reports by ZigWheels, the company will launch this fully faired fastest Pulsar during the festive season of 2016. Recently, the CS400 was spied testing in Pune, making RS-400 a second bike to make a debut with a powerful 375cc engine that also powers the KTM DUKE 390 and RC 390.
In designing term, the RS400 looks similar to its smaller capacity sibling- the RS200, except new body graphics and Metzeler tyres. In order to keep the cost of the bike as low as possible, Bajaj could also bring soft compound MRF tyres as an option. Powering its motor is a single cylinder, 373cc, liquid cooled engine that is expected to produce near about 40 bhp of power along with 34-36Nm of torque. Power to rear wheel will be transferred by 6-speed transmission, though there is no clarification if it will receive slipper technology or not.
Its suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks at front and gas charged mono-schock at the rear. It will also receive dual disc brakes for efficient braking system and unlike RS200, the bike could feature dual ABS (Anti-braking system) as standard. Since it will be manufactured in India itself, we could anticipate Bajaj to put a really aggressive price tag on the bike. We expect this upcoming motorcycle to be priced somewhere between Rs 1.70 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh.
